Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with Windows 10
launching on January 26
When Xiaomi announced the Mi Pad 2, the company also made a mention of a special Windows 10 running model of the tablet. The company has now announced that this variant will be up for grabs starting the 26th of January or tomorrow.

The 16GB model of the tablet will be priced at 999 CNY (Rs 10,300 approx) while the 64GB variant has been priced at 1,299 CNY (Rs 13,400 approx). There's no cellular connectivity here, so customers will have to make do with Wi-Fi. In terms of internal hardware, it's pretty much the same as the Android Lollipop running Mi Pad 2, so customers should eventually be able to switch over to Android or vice versa.

The Mi Pad 2 is certainly one of the more attractive offerings available in the market today and the Windows 10 model should appeal to the masses. Xiaomi has been relatively quiet on the Indian release of the Mi Pad 2, but we're hopeful of finding it in the region very soon.

Hardware specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2:

· 7.9-inch (2048x1536) display
· 7mm thickness
· 322 grams
· Quad-core 2.24 GHz Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor
· 8MP rear camera
· 5MP front camera
· 2GB RAM
· 16/64GB storage (non-expandable)
· Windows 10
· 6,190 mAh battery
· USB Type-C port

The Xiaomi Mi Pad had good response in India and we are hoping that the successor will be something to look forward to as well.
